Why People Over Spend When Coupon Shopping

There are a few reasons people spend too much money when shopping with coupons. The thrill of the bargain is too much for some people. Other people forget to account for regular items they need that cost full price. Some people go to fast, they try to stockpile and they over stock an item spending way more than allotted amount for these items. What ever the reason don't find yourself in these situations and spend more money than intended.

The Rush

There is a rush that comes with saving a lot of money on items you normally pay a lot more for. This adrenalin can cause you to coupon shop a lot more than you need to, Buy things you will never use, by a larger quantity than you can use in a reasonable time and more. Couponing is like gambling. You never take more money than you can afford to lose.

Go Slow

The best way to coupon is go slow and build up to your comfort and financial level. As you buy extra things with sale and coupon combinations, you will start to see extra money in your budget for something else you might buy extra of down the road. Just because its a great deal does not mean you need 20 of them. If you can afford the extra get 4 or 6 of them. Enough to last until the next sale. As you coupon patterns emerge and you learn how often which items go on sale. This allows you to pace your buying in accordance with sales and not over spend on a good deal.

Have Fun

Have fun, pace yourself, learn and laugh at your mistakes and save on. It's a process that you learn. The more you learn it and do it the better you become. Some people fine tune their couponing skills and save thousands of dollars annually. Invest and save is the best way to put it. Invest your time, money, and knowledge. The more you invest the more you can potentially save.
