Ancient water dogs that were a predecessor to the poodle we know today, were the first dogs known to have its hair coat trimmed for beauty and it also served a purpose to function as a joint and organ protector from water and cold weather while hunting. It was later the Poodle we all know and love today, belonging to royalty, that made history for groomers. Poodles started the pet grooming career that I live and love. So here is to all you poodles and poodle lovers out there.
