Is CBD oil or CBD dog treats a good way to help your dog with anxiety or a high stress level? I have read and personally heard the good stories of less stress and anxiety with many pets and people. I really have not read or heard any bad outcomes using these products. I decided to give these a try on our dog daisy who suffers from storm anxiety.
My dog Daisy is a 10 year old mixed breed. She suffers from anxiety and stress from loud noises and severe anxiety over storms. I really didn't want to have to put her on prescription medication to treat her problems. Although I didn't want to, I was considering going to the veterinarian for medication because she had become so hard to handle during the stressful times. When it storms Daisy will shake violently and pant at an accelerated speed. The shaking is so bad she cannot walk. She is shaking too hard to walk. If you leave the room during a storm she will start high pitched barking in fear. Her storm anxiety has gotten so bad I worry about her health because of those massive loads of stress. This has kept us both up countless nights.
I decided to try CBD dog treats for Daisy to see if it helps to calm her stress level. Especially Storm Stress and anxiety. With her this particular kind of anxiety is off the charts. Knowing how bad her anxiety was I had my doubts about how a CBD dog treat was going to help her. If it did help her however it would save her from having to be on prescription medication to lighten the stress load she was experiencing. So I figured what do I have to lose?

I got on line and ordered CBD dog treats from the company to the left. I ordered the liver meatballs for her. They are pretty big but she is a medium to large dog so they worked well for her. If you have a smaller dog there are other options that might be better for you. These treats contain 10mg of CBD per serving/each. The price of these CBD dog treats were $35.00. They offer free shipping which is always good. They also give coupons away sometimes on their website which make the products more cost effective. When they arrived at our house a few days later Daisy got to try one. She is not picky so she did like the treat. these treats are semi-soft but do require some chewing.
I started giving these to Daisy every two or three days, one treat. I did this just to see how they would effected her. She seemed more calm and relaxed all around. Especially on the days I gave her the treats. The big test came with the next storm that came. I gave her two treats about an hour before the storm started and she was like a different dog. I mean seeing is believing, she did not let her anxiety get off the charts. she was actually able to lay down. She normally could not lay down because she is shaking to hard to lay down, when she would try her legs would knock the floor and she would get up. the storm was pretty intense and I witnessed my dog laying in the living room, front legs crossed, with moderate to minimal signs of stress. I gave her a 3rd treat about 30 minutes in just to keep her on the lower end of stress. she was not standing in the corner or under a table in complete panic mode. She was laying in the middle of the living room floor completely exposed with little sign of stress at this point. Only mild panting and mild shaking but only shaking periodically and no shaking so severe it immobilized her. I had a new dog all thanks to CBD pet products.
Since we have found CBD pet products for Daisy she is a happier, healthier dog. When our pets are happy we are happy. So I can definitely say that CBD pet products have made a dramatic difference in our lives. Daisy now uses CBD products daily for overall well being. When it storms she gets extra treats to go along with her daily CBD tincture in her food. I the links here on this post are the companies that carry the products that daisy and I have tried and approve of for reduced anxiety for your best friend. I hope CBD oil and CBD dog treats can help your pet have a happier, better quality of life.
